POLICE LOG for February 26 Driver Blames Missing Contacts For Poor Driving

first_imgWILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, February 26, 2019:A caller reported that while talking to her husband on the phone, he reported hearing gunshots in the Salem Street area. Police responded. Man was unsure of what the sound was. Police advised to call should he hear it again. (1:41pm)A Roosevelt Road caller believes someone may have been in his house. He came home to the front door and garage door open. He stated he shut the front door before he left and he hasn’t opened the garage door in 10 years. Police responded. It appeared the wind may have opened the doors. There were no signs of forced entry or footprints on the property. (3:04pm)A 2-vehicle crash took place on Route 125 and 93 South Exit 41 ramp. Airbags deployed. Both vehicles towed. One of the vehicle’s operator was transported by the Fire Department with an injury. (3:17pm)Thoeun You (34, Lowell) was arrested for Operating A Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License. You was pulled over on Main Street. (5:03pm)Olga M. Declet (58, Lawrence) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration. (9:34pm)Police stopped an erratic operator by the Town Park on Main Street. Vehicle had swerved and nearly hit oncoming traffic. A field sobriety test was performed and the operator passed. Operator blamed his erratic driving on missing his contact lenses. Mother picked up operator, who left his vehicle at Town Park overnight. He was cited for a marked lanes violation.
